My story.
I’ll start with my truth. For most of my life, I had been Little Red Riding Hood. From a young age, I learned what were the expectations from women. I realized that to be loved and accepted I had to act a certain way. This meant being obedient, smiling, not complaining, quiting my voice, and always stay on the traditional path. I silenced my voice to please those around me and disconnected with my authentic self.
After reading Abby Wambach’s quote, something awakened inside of me. It was time to acknowledge and connect with my true self, my WOLF, and transform my life.
Embracing my WOLF has been heart-opening. I’ve had beautiful highs and some painful, dark lows. The first step I had to take was to see myself for who I truly am (not through anyone’s lens but mine). From there, I’ve been unlearning limiting beliefs that kept me small and learning that I am enough and that everything about me matters. I’ve learned to be present, to listen to my inner voice, and to accept and love myself. It is an ongoing journey. Every moment of every day, I decide whether I listen to my WOLF or the world. It is not always easy, but it is worth it.
I became a coach because I want to support women. I want you and every woman to be able to say “ENOUGH! My voice, my dreams, my needs, everything about me matters!” I want to help you find joy, excitement, and meaning while reconnecting with your true self.
My professional background.
I have a B.S. in Business and a Master’s Degree in Marketing. In the last year, I became a certified Life Coach.
I was fortunate to have a professional career of 15+ years across different industries in different countries. I started my career in Guatemala, my home country, where I worked in the Banking Industry as a Customer Service Manager for two years. I then moved to the Consumer Goods Industry to follow my passion for Marketing. I worked as a Regional Brand Manager for the Cereals category for five years.
In 2008, I relocated to the United States with my husband and worked as a consultant for Microsoft. For 8+ years, I immersed myself in the digital marketing world, learning about social media and web analytics. In my last role, I managed a team of consultants that provided web analytics support and training to Microsoft employees worldwide.
In this last role, I had the opportunity to coach more junior peers. This experience helped me find my passion for helping people feel empowered by clarifying and achieving their goals.
